DIRECTOR of the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases of the University Clinical Center, Goran Stevanović, stated today that the current epidemiological situation in Serbia is stable, because a balance has been established between the number of admissions and discharges of patients from hospitals.
However, Stevanovic told RTS that “there is no place for hope” that the results will be good soon and that the citizens of Serbia will return to the normalcy that existed before the crown.
– We are permanently full (Infectious Diseases Clinic), from 95 to 100 percent full. We put beds in rooms that are not hospital rooms, for example we have beds in the dining room – he said.
Stevanovic mentioned that the situation will not be better until sufficient vaccination is achieved on a global level.
He reiterated that the vaccine against the corona does not protect against infecting a person, but protects against severe forms of disease and death.
