The EPIDEMIOLOGICAL situation is more favorable, but it is still extraordinary. The effects of the return of students to the benches after the extended autumn break will be seen next week, and epidemiologists would not be surprised if, again, we have an increase in the number of infected people.

The worst variant, which is warned by Dr. Predrag Kon, a member of the Crisis Staff, is to “match” the flu and kovid 19.
This would further increase the pressure on health facilities, because without testing it is almost impossible to distinguish these two infectious diseases.
And Dr. Kon says that covid and flu will be difficult to distinguish and that we do not have the capacity to separate the accommodation of the hospitalized.
One of the ways that the epidemiological situation does not worsen, with the extension of the application of the covid-certificate to 24 hours, which the medical part will insist on at the next session of the Crisis Staff, is to postpone the school holidays. Doctors at the Headquarters have not yet taken a definite position on that, but they are considering the option of moving the start of the holidays to the second half of December, most likely from the 27th of the month.
According to the projection of Dr. Radmilo Janković from the University Medical Center Niš, after a short lull in which we are now, a new peak of this wave of epidemics could follow, similar to what happened last winter.
– We may have a calmer period of two to three weeks, which should be used for a better strategy, primarily in connection with vaccination – says Janković.
LESS TESTED AND POSITIVE
COMPARED to the day before, there were five more patients on respirators – a total of 259.
There were fewer tested (16,846), as well as positive (3,219), and hospitalized (6,599). In the last 24 hours, 55 patients died from kovid. That’s one less than Thursday.
