Aleksandar Karakašević, the celebrated Serbian table tennis player and the president of the Table Tennis Association of Serbia, joined the SERBIAN Progressive Party.

He signed the application form at the SNS headquarters, in the presence of the President of the Executive Board, Darko Glišić.
A native of Zemun, Aleksandar Karakašević played for the national team continuously for 30 years and during that time he won 13 medals at European championships, four of which were gold. He also competed in five Olympic Games, where his best placement was fifth place. He is a six-time winner of the US Open, and he also won the German Open and the Brasilian Open.
Also, in 2005 in Denmark, in mixed doubles with Lithuanian Ruta Garkauskaite, he won gold for Serbia. He is the holder of national recognition.
His career took place through table tennis clubs Mladost, Partizan, Voždovac, Unirea, Radnički from Beočin, Oxenhausen, Grenzau, Pluderhausen (with which he won three European Cups and the German Cup, became the third best foreigner in the history of the Bundesliga and nicknamed “King”). .
