Last year, 630 economic units, corporations, operated in SERBIA, which gathered a total of 2,053 dependent and associated companies.
There were 33 fewer holdings than the year before, but 19 more companies added up. These large groups employ a total of 316,785 workers, about 2,800 less than the year before.
By far the largest system is still “Delta Holding”. As many as 61 companies operate within it, five more than in 2019.
The most profitable and largest economic entity in 2020 is the group “Electric Power Industry of Serbia”. “MK Group”, “Srbijagas”, “Coca-Cola HBC” and “Hemofarm” are among the top five in terms of net profit, the report of the Agency for Business Registers on the business of economic units showed.
The analysis shows that corporations reduced the volume of business activities during the crisis year.
They made as much as 3,564 billion and made a profit of 144 billion dinars.
– Significant contribution of economic units in the overall economic trends is shown by the fact that within them, on average, a quarter of the financial performance of the economy is concentrated, ie 29.5 percent of total revenues and 29.4 percent of total expenditures, 26.2 percent of net profit and 14, 9 percent net loss.
