RUSSIAN defense concern “Rosoboronexport” is ready to consider a possible request from Serbia regarding the delivery of air defense systems as soon as possible, said the director of that Russian corporation, Alexander Mikheyev, after the end of the military equipment fair “Ershou 2021” held in Dubai.

– At the moment, we are not conducting negotiations with Serbia regarding the delivery of air defense systems. However, in case you address such a request, we are ready to respond as soon as possible and deliver military equipment – he said.
Russian media also state that Serbia is one of the largest importers of Russian weapons and military equipment in Europe.
They also remind that Serbia bought seven Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters from Russia, received six MiG-29 planes and 10 BRDM-2MS armored vehicles as a gift.
Russian media add that Serbia also procured the Pancir-S1 missile system, while President Aleksandar Vučić once announced that our country wants to buy the S-400 air defense system from Russia, but that for now it cannot afford it.
