MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Assistant Minister and Chief of Human Resources Vladimir Ilić, attended the Sports Day at the Basic Police Training Center in Sremska Kamenica today, during which the participants of this institution, future police officers, demonstrated their skills through several sports disciplines. .
-Be fighters, develop a competitive spirit, and don’t give anyone in front of you. That is how our Serbia is defended and guarded, said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandar Vulin.
He emphasized that the formation of a sports company is underway and that he expects significant results from its members, and expressed confidence that some of the participants in the Center for Basic Police Training will be part of the sports company, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
– The development of sports and competitive spirit among these young people, who will borrow their uniforms tomorrow and be the protectors of their country and people, is important and significant. Police work requires a high degree of physical readiness, and playing sports certainly contributes to that, said the Minister of Police.
According to him, because of all that, playing sports with a professional police job is an implied activity.
Minister Vulin expressed hope that among these young boys and girls there will be those who will achieve top successes and results and who, like some of their older colleagues, will be the pride not only of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but of the whole of Serbia.
-The Ministry of the Interior is taking all measures and supporting all activities that will provide police officers with the best possible conditions for the development of sports skills. We will raise sports in the police to an even higher level, said Minister Vulin.
He added that he was proud of the decision of the Center for Basic Police Training, which decided to continue the tradition of the former High School of Internal Affairs and renew the Sports Days.
Participants of 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th grades during the Sports Day of the Center for Basic Police Training, demonstrated sports skills in indoor soccer, 3×3 basketball, basketball, volleyball and chess.
