You can’t go to the great Serbian shrine, the Hilandar monastery, until further notice.
This was announced to the public by the Hilandar Endowment, which is also in charge of secular events related to this Mount Athos monastery.
The announcement on the website of the mentioned Endowment, as well as its accounts on the internet social networks, states the following:
– Due to the appearance of a larger number of cases of patients with Kovid 19 in Hilandar, visits to the monastery are not possible until further notice. The management of the monastery will inform the public about the changes in the regime of visits.
Until today’s decision, since the outbreak of the pandemic, it has been possible to enter Hilandar only if a negative result is obtained in the coastal town of Ouranopolis on rapid testing for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 type of coronavirus.
Now, however, due to the larger number of patients in the monastery itself, visits are no longer possible.
