WORKS on the renovation and extension of the Clinical Hospital Center Kosovska Mitrovica today officially began with the renovation of the Department of Physiatry.
This health institution was visited by the assistant director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Jelena Stojković, who is staying in Kosovska Mitrovica on the occasion of marking the Day of the Municipality and the Day of the Liberation of the City in the Second World War.
Stojković pointed out that this is a project that will be realized in phases and for which the Government of the Republic of Serbia has allocated money through the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
– Today we are starting the first phase with the construction of the building of Physiatry and Rehabilitation, with an area of about 1,500 square meters. We are doing a complete reconstruction of the building and an upgrade, “said Stojković, as reported by Radio Kosovska Mitrovica.
He adds that the reconstruction, upgrade and upgrade of the complete KBC will be completed in phases.
“It will be a modern building that will fulfill all the needs of the citizens, and the conditions of treatment will not differ from those in Nis, Kragujevac or Belgrade,” Stojković said.
As previously announced, when the complete reconstruction and upgrade of the KBC in Kosovska Mitrovica is completed, it will be a modern hospital that will cover 20,000 square meters and will have 559 available beds.
The Head of the Department of Physiatry at the KBC Kosovska Mitrovica, Dr. Dragiša Milović, expressed his gratitude on behalf of health workers and patients.
“This is only the first step towards the reconstruction and construction of the KBC, knowing that our Clinical Hospital Center is the most important health institution in Kosovo and Metohija. This is a great day that will be remembered in the history of our KBC,” Milović pointed out. thanked the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Ministry of Health and the Government of Serbia.
KBC Kosovska Mitrovica was also visited by the President of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica, Aleksandar Spiric, the President of the Serbian List and the Minister of Communities and Returns, Goran Rakic, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica, Milan Radojevic.
