TODAY, the newly built bridge near Duda’s Karst, which connects Kosovska Mitrovica with the regional road Pristina-Raska, was ceremoniously opened.
The president of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica, Aleksandar Spirić, and the Assistant Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Jelena Stojković, opened the bridge by cutting the ribbon, Kosovo online reported.
Spiric said that everything is being done with joint efforts with the state of Serbia in order to create the best possible living conditions for all citizens in Kosovska Mitrovica.
– The Serbian government has set aside 140 million for the realization of the project for the construction of this bridge. The works started in August and according to the plan, they were completed today, on the day of the city. The traffic on this bridge will be relieved, and we will continue with the realization of the started projects. We thank our state leadership who set aside funds for the realization, as well as the contractor himself, who completed all the works on time, said Spirić.
Stojković pointed out that the state will continue to invest in a better life for citizens.
– This bridge connects Kosovska Mitrovica with the state road and all its access roads. We are showing that we are fulfilling our promises and more than that, because in addition to building this bridge, we will work on improving the road infrastructure. We will continue to invest not only in road infrastructure, but also in other areas in order to make our Kosovska Mitrovica better and more beautiful, she said.
The newly built bridge is 80 meters long.
