This year, the United States of Mexico is marking three great anniversaries: five centuries since the fall of the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan under Spanish rule, seven centuries since the city’s founding, and two hundred years since Mexico’s independence.

An exhibition dedicated to the seventy-fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, traditional friendship and cooperation based on mutual respect and support between Serbia and Mexico has been set up in the Archives of Yugoslavia until December 3.
Mirela Lončar, MSc, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Political Sciences, used this anniversary as an occasion to present the political system of modern Mexico to the viewers of the CCNS YouTube channel.
Following Huntington’s notion of a torn country, among which he placed Turkey, Russia, and Mexico, Loncar questioned whether Mexico was really a torn country between belonging to Western and Latin American civilization, or whether we were on the trail of proving that Mexico had its authenticity. ?
Mirela Lončar’s lecture on the topic “Authenticity of the political system of modern Mexico” can be watched on the CCNS YouTube channel.
