Dalibor Bajić (31), from Plandište, agreed to give a kidney to Rajko, whom he did not know until now, just to help him return to a normal life.
In order for the transplant to be performed, Rajko’s family must provide 40,000 euros, which is the cost of all the costs of that intervention in Turkey. For Medojević, that is unattainable, and they lack another 25,000 euros. Dalibor himself was actively involved in the action, after the typing, which they did in Istanbul, showed that he was a suitable donor.
– Our matches are as high as 98%, and apart from money, there are no obstacles for the transplant to be performed. As soon as we collect the money, we go to Turkey, since such operations in Serbia and Montenegro are not done with relatives. We hope that we will succeed by December 10, so that we can “release” Rajko from going to dialysis three times a week as soon as possible – says Dalibor.

This young man with a huge heart says that Rajko’s kidney will mean a normal life, and that he will be able to function on his own.
– I inquired well about life with one kidney – says Dalibor. – Recovery from the operation takes about three weeks, and the feeling that you have helped someone all your life.
If they manage to raise money to go to Istanbul, it will be the second time for Dalibor to donate an organ to an unknown man. Two years ago, he donated skin to an elderly man from the village near Majdanpek, who suffered life-threatening burns in a house fire.
