THE HEAD of the admission department of the Emergency Center, Vladimir Arsenijević, said today that the patients injured in the explosion in Leštane were “currently in a relatively stable health condition”
. Arsenijevic stated for Television Prva that four patients are in the intensive care unit and that doctors, as long as they are in that ward, view them as life-threatening.
He also said that the injured were quickly brought and taken care of yesterday, and thanked all the medical workers for their engagement. He specified that 20 patients were brought, and that 16 of them remained for treatment.
– They are currently in a relatively stable condition and I must mention that these are moderately severe, but the most insidious types of injuries (from the force of pressure from the explosion), which can quickly turn into severe injuries of internal organs – said Arsenijevic, as reported by the agency Beta.
He explained that because of that, the patients are under “all-day monitoring”.
Of the 16 injured people in the explosion in Leštane, as it was said earlier, three of them were transported to the Military Medical Academy.
