MINISTER OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT Branko Ruzic said today that the epidemiological situation in schools this week was better than the previous one and that the introduction of covid passes and the extension of the autumn holidays managed to “neutralize the consequences”.

He also said that he assumes that all schools will conduct direct classes next week as well.
– The situation in schools has never been better when it comes to numbers, the percentage of infected students has dropped to 0.7, but in no way does it mean that there should be relaxation, – Ruzic pointed out after visiting the “Mika Mitrovic” home. where sports fields and outdoor gyms have been renovated, adapted for students with disabilities.
The Minister stated that further steps will be discussed at the upcoming session of the Crisis Staff, as well as the issue of the beginning of the winter vacation, and said that the most important discipline, responsibility, and application of all preventive measures, during the holidays, especially in tourist destinations.
– Winter vacation can be a topic at the session of the Crisis Staff, and if necessary, in accordance with the assessment of the health work, we are ready to adjust the calendar, but it is important that the first semester is over and that children are evaluated – Ruzic added.
He stated that the coverage of vaccination of educators has increased and that it now amounts to less than 56 percent.
– That is encouraging, but it is not enough – Ruzic pointed out, emphasizing the importance of vaccination in the fight against kovid.
Asked whether the graduation could be postponed, Ruzic said that he did not see a reason for that for now, and added that the situation showed that “everything is under control”.
– We see no reason to move, we will have a rehearsal probably in April – said Ruzic.
The student dormitory “Mika Mitrović” in the Belgrade neighborhood of Voždovac received renovated sports fields and outdoor gyms, adapted for students with disabilities, and 30 million dinars were invested in that renovation.
The project was financed by the Ministry of Education and the Student Center “Belgrade”.
