The Minister of the Albanian Police said that in cooperation with his colleague from the false state of Kosovo, Xhelaj Sveclja, cameras will be set up at the border checkpoints, which will be used to monitor entries and exits.
According to Cuci, although it is not part of today’s agreements, it was requested by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions in Pristina, Albin Kurti, at their last meeting.
– We will not wait for the summer season to facilitate the free circulation of people, especially at the main border crossings – stated the Albanian Minister.
The cameras will automatically register the license plates of cars passing across the border without the need for officers to check each driver.
The Minister also clarified that on days with a large influx, such as the ceremony from November 28 to 29, it was advised on both sides of the border to suspend all controls and let motor vehicles pass without stopping.
– I believe that we are on the right path to start experiencing easier circulation, without being perceived as two different countries – said Cuci, as reported by the Albanian Euronews.
