The pope said it in Italian, after Macron asked him: “How is it?”
The pope soon said “perfect”, but it is not clear whether it referred to the same issue, Reuters reports.
The video, published by the Vatican, which shows the Pope and Macron before and after the conversation in the papal library, shows the pope and the French president in a very friendly atmosphere, laughing.
The Vatican did not announce what the pope and the French president discussed, but revealed that climate change, the situation in Lebanon, the Middle East, Africa, and the upcoming French presidency of the European Union were among the topics of Macron’s talks with top Vatican diplomats.
The Pope spent 11 days in the hospital in July this year due to colon surgery.
This is the first time he has been hospitalized since he was elected pope in 2013.
