Dacic, who is participating in the 143rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Madrid, had a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of various countries, including Egypt and Bahrain, and he also met with King Felipe VI of Spain.
– We had the opportunity to talk to the hosts at the reception on the first day. I told King Felipe that no Spanish king or prime minister had visited Serbia. I mentioned that fact and everyone was surprised, because Spain and Serbia are friendly countries – Dacic told reporters in Madrid.
He points out that this is a fact and that, as he says, it should be corrected.
– The Spanish king promised to talk about it with Prime Minister Sanchez – said Dacic.
Spain and Serbia have a lot in common and common interests, and that would be a big step forward, said the President of the Assembly of Serbia. Dacic also invited the President of the Senate, as well as the President of the Congress, for a bilateral visit.
On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of Serbia becoming a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the president of that organization, Duarte Paceko, will come to our country next week, December 1 and 2, Dacic announced.
– We will have not only bilateral meetings, but they will also address the deputies of the Assembly of Serbia – said Dacic.
He pointed out that he used his visit to Madrid to present political views on the most important issues for Serbia, such as the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
