To our knowledge, more than 4,000 delegates will elect members of the Main Board, the Presidency, the Executive Board and other party bodies. Significant changes are especially expected in the vice-presidential composition of CSOs, and in some of these seats young, new staff should sit. There are currently five in these positions – Marija Obradović, Milenko Jovanov, Miloš Vučević, Marko Đurić and Aleksandar Šapić – and some of them will almost certainly be left without this function.
The election of the party president is not on the agenda of the assembly, it is expected to be discussed, but it is unlikely that it will be voted on because the current leader Aleksandar Vučić enjoys undivided trust to continue leading the party. Boards throughout Serbia, including Belgrade, have already unanimously declared that Vucic will continue to be the president of the SNS.
Last night in Belgrade, the Progressives also presented the program principles of the party, in 10 key points, and the Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, the Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and Šapić spoke about the political manifesto of the SNS. This 47-page document states, among other things, that the SNS is against the formation of a political class that is getting rich at the expense of the people, and that every party official will be obliged to account to party members and citizens.
The SNS will continue to advocate for the fight against corruption and crime in the coming period. The principles also state that Serbia will continue its multi-vector approach to foreign policy, that it will not enter into conflicts between the great powers, and that it will try to avoid any involvement in their mutual quarrels and rivalries.
Brnabić said that Serbia will not decide between cooperation with individual great powers and will continue cooperation with everyone – the EU, the USA, Russia. She said that the SNS policy, in addition to cooperation with everyone, is based on three other postulates:
– The first is the constant strengthening of the country. Serbia, which is stronger today than it was yesterday, is somewhat weaker than it will be tomorrow. The second postulate of the SNS policy is state stability, and the third is full independence in decision-making. We have friends and partners, but in Serbia and Serbia, only its citizens decide.
Also, the priority remains the defense of Kosovo and Metohija, assistance to our people in the province, strengthening of defense capacities and preservation of military neutrality.
Minister Mali said last night that Serbia has become the dominant economic power in the region and that we will be one of the three best and most successful countries in the region:
– When we talk about the economic policy of the SNS and the economic successes of Serbia, we are talking about the dreams of one man, Aleksandar Vučić, who had a dream to make a ruined Serbia an economic leader in the region. We want to strengthen the economy, and to quickly raise the living standards of the citizens of Serbia and maintain macroeconomic and financial stability.
“BAGI-RADISHA” SYMBOL OF SUCCESS
DURING the convention in the “Stark Arena”, the excavator “Bagi-radiša” will be presented, as a symbol of work, construction and large investments in the infrastructure of Serbia in the last seven years. This large machine will be placed in the central part of the “Arena”, as a symbol of the greatest construction successes of the SNS and President Vučić’s policy – completion of Corridor 10 after 50 years, completion of 120 kilometers of “Miloš Veliki” highway from Belgrade to Čačak, works on 112 kilometers of Moravski corridor from Pojat to Preljina, as well as on the roads Ruma – Sabac – Loznica, Preljina – Pozega, Frushkogorski corridor, roads Sremska Raca – Kuzmin, Iverak – Lajkovac …
