THE LATEST weather forecast by geography professor Marko Čubril announces worsening weather, precipitation and cooling during the day,
At the beginning of the week, it will be noticeably colder, it will snow over the southern part of the region, and it will also be in areas below 600 meters above sea level.
For the middle of next week, Čubrilo predicts shorter warming, while on Friday a new, stronger cooling will arrive with possible snow in the lowlands.
Worsening weather has already affected the western parts of the region and is slowly advancing further east, bringing rain and cooling with a moderate northwest wind. During the night, the snow line will drop to about 900 meters above sea level with cooling, and then to about 700 meters above sea level.
Weather forecast for next week
On Monday morning, over the northern parts of the region, the precipitation will stop with the reduction of clouds, while there will be rain and snow over the southern and central parts. The snow line will be around 600-700 m above sea level.
At the beginning of next week, says Čubrilo, it will be significantly colder with a stronger northwest wind and a daily maximum of +3 to +8 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday morning, the frost will be somewhere up to -4 degrees Celsius.
In the middle of the week, it will be noticeably warmer with the wind turning to the southwest and a maximum of up to about +15 degrees Celsius, the weather forecast shows.
On Friday, we will see new worsening, rain and cooling, with the snow line dropping to around 700 meters above sea level.
Snow and strong wind
For the coming weekend, it will be a little colder with possible more frequent snow in the lower areas (below 200 meters above sea level), and a strong north wind will blow.
After December 7, all options still stand, from building an anticyclone over Skadninavia to the strong influence of the Atlantic.
