– Today we stand in a place from which springs courage, pride, sacrifice, and above all patriotism. Today we pay tribute to the heroes from Kadinjača, who gave their lives for their homeland in the Second World War, so that today we can live in peace and freedom – Kisić Tepavčević pointed out and added that on this day in 1941, in the fight against German troops, pages of history were written by the fighters of the Užice Workers’ Battalion, composed of rifle, tailoring and shoemaking, bakery, weaving and railway companies.
According to her, history once again had the opportunity to record the true sacrifice of workers, peasants, and above all patriots.
– 80 years ago, this area experienced great moments of freedom and great suffering – the seat of the first free territory in occupied Europe in World War II, but also the place of great victims for freedom in the fight against fascism – said Kisic Tepavcevic, who is also the president of the government Committee for Nurturing the Traditions of the Liberation Wars of Serbia.
Kisic Tepavcevic pointed out that the past and history are an important part of our identity and that, worthy of our brave ancestors, we should fight even more persistently for Serbia and build a country of equal and proud citizens.
– With a feeling of true personal pride, I invite you to never forget their feat and sacrifice. Let us remain committed to their ideals of freedom, independence and equality – the indestructible foundations of the progress of a strong, progressive, economically strong Serbia – said Kisić Tepavčević.
Minister Kisić Tepavčević wrote in the Memorial Book: “Heroes from Kadinjača, may you have eternal glory and praise. Thanks to your heroism, we live in freedom and peace today. Long live Serbia! ”
