AMERICA and Great Britain are leading in lobbying for new recognitions of the false state of Kosovo, and official Ankara is not far behind in helping Pristina complete its illegal independence – “Novosti” has learned.

On the other hand, Belgrade is not sitting idly by, so only a day after the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Institutions in Pristina, Donika Gervala, applied for membership in the Council of Europe, it was revealed that four countries withdrew their recognition of Kosovo. According to our information, these are countries from Africa and the Caribbean region.
As announced by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, after Pristina grossly violated numerous agreements, including the Washington Agreement, with the application for the Council of Europe, our country ceased to have any obligation to adhere to what was previously agreed.
Prior to the introduction of the moratorium on lobbying for new recognitions of Kosovo, as many as 18 states withdrew the recognition of a false state. With these four new states, the balance of power in the United Nations has significantly improved in favor of Serbia, so out of 193 members, 88 recognize Kosovo, as many as 100 do not recognize, while five countries are in a fluid position, ie mostly recognize Pristina, but no longer vote in her favor.
After yesterday’s session of the National Security Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković, said that he handed over to President Vučić the notes of four countries that withdrew the recognition of the so-called Kosovo:
– The National Security Council authorized President Vučić to inform the general public about the countries in question when he deems it necessary.
With this gesture, as Selaković said, Serbia wants to give a chance to the member states of the Council of Europe not to initiate the procedure of Kosovo’s admission to this organization in June.
– Thus, we want to show our readiness to talk and to reach a solution through dialogue, and not unilaterally.

Novosti
Confirmation that the procedure of Pristina’s eventual accession to the Council of Europe, despite the enthusiastic support of the great powers, will not go easily or quickly, arrived on Friday: the committee of ministers of this organization, which should meet in Turin next week, will not discuss Kosovo Albanians’ application for membership. The reason is that the agenda has already been concluded, but also because the Italian presidency is not interested in putting it on the agenda at the end of its mandate at the head of the Council of Europe.
Also, Pristina’s move was opposed by a significant number of EU members, especially those who do not recognize Kosovo. These countries believe that it is not a good geopolitical moment to enter this process. It is also controversial to discuss the admission of an unrecognized entity after a sovereign state, Russia, was expelled from the Council of Europe.
Also, Selakovic revealed that our intelligence services have learned that at least two major countries are working to provide serious logistical support to Pristina in the campaign for new recognitions, as well as to stop Serbia’s diplomatic action to withdraw recognition.
– Serbia is in a very difficult situation, our country is exposed to terrible pressures to accept the violation of the territorial integrity of our country, to accept the violation of international public law to its detriment. The US government has made it clear that they respect the Washington agreement. Pristina has shown that it does not respect the agreement or the given word, that it does not intend to reach any solution through dialogue.
Belgrade will continue to fight fiercely and work on recognizing Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence, and we have at least 10 more countries up our sleeve that are ready to do so.
The President of the Committee of the Assembly of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, believes that the ground for temporary Pristina institutions to enter the Council of Europe is largely prepared, which will not lead to any progress in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina. He pointed out that Pristina is not making moves on its own and that it is being helped by those Western countries that have created the false state of Kosovo and are trying to keep it alive.
Yesterday’s session of the National Security Council, chaired by Vucic, was attended by Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic, Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic … Serbian Army Chief of Staff Milan Mojsilovic and BIA Director Bratislav Gasic were also present.

Next week, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, is on a “Balkan tour”, during which he will visit Belgrade, Tirana and Sarajevo. He arrives in Serbia on May 19, and a day later leaves for Albania, then BiH.
Also, Minister Nikola Selaković will be in Brussels on Monday, where he will attend a working lunch organized by European Foreign Minister Josep Borelj for ministers of member states and countries from the region.
DACIC: WE ARE DESTROYING THEIR CONCEPT

The continuation of the action of withdrawing the recognition of Kosovo is a logical answer to the fact that Pristina does not respect the Washington Agreement. That answer hurts them the most. I am sure that all Western countries will condemn our action of withdrawing recognition, and no one has said a word against Pristina’s request for admission to the Council of Europe. Belgrade’s action destroys their concept that everything is over and that Serbia only needs to recognize Kosovo. Nothing is over, nor will Serbia recognize Kosovo – said on Friday the head of the parliament, Ivivac Dacic.
ALBANIANS HAVE SUPPORT FOR NATO’S LOBBY
PRISTINA’s “offensive” against international bodies, as things stand now, will not stop at the Council of Europe, but the next “target” will be the Partnership for Peace (PfP). The potential signing of this agreement would mean the highest level of cooperation with NATO members, and Pristina has already received support from the United States for this step.
By joining the PfP, Pristina would be one step closer to NATO, which would not immediately bring serious security and military consequences for Serbia, but would certainly contribute to raising tensions in the region.

NATO Headquarters in Brussels
PfP is a program of bilateral cooperation between NATO and individual countries, which is based on the principles of voluntariness, flexibility and transparency, and of which Serbia is a member. It is an international agreement which, among other things, includes political decisions, but which does not represent a system of collective defense.
As things currently stand, and as they reminded at NATO Headquarters, the consent of all Allies is required for the admission of Kosovo, which seems a bit uncertain at the moment because there are four of them who do not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
Milovan Drecun pointed out that PfP members, like NATO, can only be states, which Kosovo is not, and does not have its own army, because the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into an army should be completed only in 2029. Drecun says that NATO is already arming those forces. , organize them according to their principles and have joint exercises.
STATE DEPARTMENT: THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION OF ALBANIANS
ON THE OCCASION of another gross violation of the Washington Agreement by Pristina, the State Department assessed that “Kosovo and Serbia are sovereign countries that have the right to determine their own foreign policy priorities.” In the White House in 2020, Pristina committed itself to a moratorium on seeking membership in international organizations, and Belgrade will not lead a campaign to recognize Kosovo.

– The moratorium was designed to expand the space for conversation and compromise between Kosovo and Serbia, which we believe is in the strategic interest of both countries. We continue to believe that the dialogue on the normalization of relations, under the auspices of the European Union, is crucial for both countries to unlock their European future. We call for their urgent, flexible and serious participation in that process – they say from the State Department.
Although the one-year moratorium expired last September, the State Department directly encouraged Belgrade and Pristina to continue to implement it.
BOCAN-HARCHENKO: I hope you will not impose sanctions
RUSSIAN Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Bocan-Kharchenko stated that Moscow hopes that Serbia will not change its position on imposing sanctions on Russia. He stated that “sanctions are not a friendly step, especially not sanctions of these dimensions”.

– The hope that you will not join the sanctions is quite strong, based on statements at the highest level – said the Russian ambassador.
Speaking about our country’s vote for resolutions in the UN condemning Russia, Bocan-Kharchenko said that the EU and Washington are putting pressure and threatening Serbia and that they interpret the steps it has taken as a consequence of that pressure. He also said that, given the fraternal and strategic relations with Serbia, Russia understands the pressure on Belgrade. He reiterated that when it comes to non-recognition of Kosovo, Russia’s position will not be changed, and that Moscow believes that Kosovo is a precedent and that Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk are different issues in relation to Kosovo and Metohija.
BOŠKO OBRADOVIĆ: PEOPLE TO ASK ABOUT MEASURES AGAINST RUSSIA
THE PRESIDENT of the Serbian movement Dveri, Boško Obradović, asked for a referendum to be held on Friday, at which the citizens would vote on the imposition of sanctions on the Russian Federation, and demanded that Serbia withdraw from the Brussels and Washington agreements.

Tanjug Photo
At a press conference in front of the Serbian government building, Obradovic warned that the current government is in a technical mandate until a new one is formed, and that we must not play with topics of the most important national and state interest such as Kosovo and Metohija and imposing sanctions on Russia.
Obradovic said that no political party or list that participated in the April 3 elections, either from the government or the opposition, has publicly declared itself in favor of imposing sanctions on Russia before the elections, and that some of them are now doing so.
