In an interview with “France 24”, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, stated that Albania is trying to cooperate with Serbia in order not to repeat the conflict between the two nations, and that Russia is a distant country with which Albania does not cooperate, Ekonomija online reports.
In this interview, Rama also spoke about Albania’s relations with Russia, saying it was a “very distant country” and that relations between the two countries were minimal.
– We have a completely different history, economic and trade ties with Russia. For us, it is a very distant country. Our relations are minimal, we do not have trade relations even in the best moments – said Rama.
As for Serbia, he said that he should try to cooperate and “not fall into the trap again”.
– That is why it is important not to allow this war to affect the Balkans, the Balkans is the most vulnerable link in Europe, and we are trying to cooperate with Serbia. We are trying to go together towards the future and not return to the trap where we have always fallen in the Balkans and we have only had casualties, dead and destruction. Serbia, on the other hand, took an important step by voting three times in the UN against Russia. I agree with the sanctions, but you should not ask for everything at once because it can explode, even explode – Rama said.
