THE CONSTITUTIVE session of the National Assembly of Serbia will continue today, with the election of the leadership of the parliament, the conditions for holding the session have been met and it has just started. The session is chaired by Vladeta Janković.
10.25 The session started violently, after Janković introduced the parliamentary groups and leaders, the discussions between the head of the SNS parliamentary group Milenko Jovanov and Zoran Lutovac and the DS began.

09.15 MPs have already started arriving at the House of the National Assembly.
An MP is proposed for the Speaker of the Parliament SNS Vladimir Orlić, and seven vice-presidents of the Assembly of Serbia are also elected.
Among the first to arrive were the leader and member of JS Dragan Marković Palma, Miloš Vučević SNS, Dr. Marija Zdravković, as well as the oldest member who presides over the Assembly until the election of the new Speaker of the Parliament, Vladeta Janković, Balint Pastor SVM.
197 MPs are present, a quorum exists if the majority of MPs are present.
On the agenda is the election of the president of the assembly
On the agenda of the session, which is scheduled for 10 am, is the election of the president of the National Assembly, the vice president, the appointment of the general secretary, the election of members of working bodies and members of permanent parliamentary delegations in international institutions.
As the largest party, the SNS nominated the long-time MP Vladimir Orlić for the Speaker of the Parliament.
The future convocation of the parliament will have seven vice-presidential seats, three of which are reserved for the opposition, so those seven seats should belong to the parliamentary clubs SNS, SPS, SVM, SPP, S SP, DS and the coalition of Hope.
For the time being, it is known that the opposition will propose – the club around SSP Borko Stefanović, Nada – Božidar Delić, and DS, together with Narod, Ne davimo Beograd and Zajedno – Zoran Lutovac.
When it comes to the largest parliamentary party – SNS, the head of that party’s parliamentary group in the parliament, Milenko Jovanov, said during yesterday’s session that he would support the election of Vladimir Orlić as president of the parliament and Sandra Božić as vice president.
The Socialist Party of Serbia will nominate Snežana Paunović for the vice-president of the National Assembly, before the Association of Voivodeian Hungarians, as in the previous convocation, it will be Elvira Kovač, while the representatives of the Party of Justice and Reconciliation have not yet announced their candidate for the vice-president of the Assembly.
According to the Rules of Procedure, the session is presided over by the oldest deputy, in this case Vladeta Janković from the electoral list “United for the Victory of Serbia”.
The constitutive session of the new convocation of the parliament began on Monday, with the confirmation of the mandate of the new MPs from 12 election lists that won the trust of the citizens in the parliamentary elections on April 3.
The new convocation of the parliament consists of 120 deputies from the election list “Aleksandar Vucic – Together we can do everything”, 38 from the list “Marinika Tepić – United for the victory of Serbia”, and 31 from the list “Ivica Dacic – Prime Minister of Serbia”.
The list “Dr. Miloš Jovanović – Hope for Serbia” has 15 seats, the coalition “Moramo” has 13 mandates, the list “Boško Obradović – Serbian Movement Doors – POKS – Miloš Parandilović – Patriotic Block for the Reconstruction of the Kingdom of Serbia” has 10 mandates, the same as the list ” Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski – Serbian Party “Zavetnici”.
Five parliamentary seats went to the “Union of Vojvodina Hungarians”, three to the list “Mufti’s trust – SPP – Usama Zukorlić”, two to the coalition “Together for Vojvodina – Vojvodina – Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina – Together for Vojvodina”, as well as to the list “SDA Sandžak – Dr. Sulejman Ugljanin”, while the “Coalition of Albanians of the Valley” has one representative.
