NATIONAL MP, Goran Vesić, in his presentation today before the National Assembly, said, among other things, that together with President Vučić, he defended the rights of Siniša Kovačević when Vojislav Šešelj interrupted his play Sveti Sava at the Yugoslav Drama Theater.
Vesić said that they were defending the right to artistic freedom.
And he added that it is the most outrageous text about St. Sava ever written in the Serbian language, against which the Blessed Patriarch Pavle stood up.
– In that text, Saint Sava is depicted as arrogant, a murderer, a drunkard and a womanizer. There is no historical document that depicts Rastko Nemanjić in this way before he became a monk. None. On the contrary, Rastko Nemanjić describes himself as a pious and modest young man. So I don’t know where Sinisa Kovačević got the vision he described. And we defended him because we defended the principle, pointed out Vesić.
– Today we are listening here as the man who wrote the most terrible things to Saint Sava teaches us about the location of Gračanica and Dečani, said Vesić.
