THE PRESIDENT of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the ambassador of our country in Washington, Marko Đurić, rested in New York before the return of our delegation to Belgrade.
. This place is called American Bistro and they offered us a fantastic Russian, or as they say it here, Eastern European borscht, which we reluctantly accepted as refreshment before returning to Belgrade – it says on the Instagram account “budućnostsrbijeav”.
Borsch is a Russian national dish, which is also popular in Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova. It is a soup made from beef or pork, tomatoes and/or beets, which give it its characteristic red color.
Today in New York, President Vučić made a statement to the local media, and he spoke about the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
As he pointed out, the main topics of their conversation were Kosovo and the new energy arrangement. The President also thanked Lavrov for respecting the territorial integrity of Serbia.
